How We Work, Together

We follow an agile marketing framework to allow us to consistently and efficiently define and then reach goals as quickly as possible, in a systematic way.

Agile marketing allows us to:

Respond quickly to externalities such as changes in campaign performance or ad-hoc urgent tasks.

Justify choices with hard data.

Collaborate with you and the entire team.

Keep everyone on the project accountable (including you!).

We simply insert a volume of tasks to be done each sprint, each week based on the package you’ve chosen to work with us on.

Our Framework, Step-by-Step

Strategy

Agile does NOT mean we don’t plan. We generally plan out work in quarters against the broader business objectives and have found this to strike the right balance of long-term thinking whilst allowing for short-term adaptability. Before we start running with you, we put together a 1-page strategy (it’s actually more than one page but we condense key information onto a single page) that highlights (amongst other things) the key goals, objectives, and tactics for the quarter. Something like this:

Onboarding and Setup

We are big believers in teamwork and even the best team member is more effective when properly inducted. Once we have strategised together, we move onto any necessary onboarding and setup work needed for us to work effectively together. This may include setting up project management tools, sharing google analytics access, ad accounts, etc.

Sprint Plan

Ok, we’re ready to go! We begin sprint planning together to identify the highest value tasks to complete in the particular sprint we’re doing. From here we can then delegate it out to the right team member so we can get stuff done. We use a kanban approach to planning each sprint, something like the following:

Sprint!

Time to work! The sprint is on and we get stuff done together.

Retrospective

At the end of a Sprint, we complete a sprint retrospective and review to ensure that we iterate and improve each sprint. We follow a structured approach to each retrospective to ensure we’re asking ourselves the right questions together before we then repeat the sprint planning process.
